Madrid is Magic. Comedy, magic, mind-reading… and a little bit of Spanglish. What if Madrid had been magical all along? Join Carlos Devanti, a Madrid-based magician, mentalist and comedian, for a funny and surprising journey through the hidden magic of the city. En La Escalera de Jacob.
Sinopsis
For centuries, some of the world’s greatest magicians have visited Madrid, performing impossible feats for kings, theatres and unsuspecting Madrileños. But the city has plenty of magic of its own: strange stories, peculiar traditions, legendary characters… and a few things that even Carlos doesn’t completely understand. Madrid is Magic combines comedy, close-up magic, mind-reading and audience participation with stories about Madrid and the extraordinary magicians who passed through the city. Expect impossible coincidences, stolen thoughts, cards with a mind of their own and plenty of improvisation. And because Carlos is Spanish, expect some occasional creative use of the English language too. After more than a decade performing magic and comedy for audiences in Madrid, Carlos invites you to discover his city in the way he knows best: through laughter and astonishment. Whether you live here or you’re just visiting, forget the usual tourist guide. You’ve seen Madrid. Now come and see the magic. Performed in English, with a little Spanglish. No Spanish required.
